For the second half of the week I switched the focus from Tarpon to Redfish. Well…. I tried to, on Thursday I went to get bait and while chumming I found myself surrounded by rolling Tarpon. I had some crabs left from the days before so I couldn’t resist the temptation. I had crabs under corks and cut bait on the bottom but after about an hour of watching them roll next to my cork it was time to get bait and move on. I worked the bushes hard on the incoming tide with cut bait and it did not disappoint. The Redfish were scattered throughout Pine Island Sound running solo or in pairs.

Went out again Friday with the same game plan and got the same results. Redfish under the bushes on high water using cut bait. It has been a successful two days with perfect upper slot or over redfish, that were all returned to live another day.
