Captain Keith Edinger is a fifth generation Southwest Florida native and second generation fishing guide who is based out of Cape Coral. Captain Keith is passionate about his home waters in Southwest Florida which surround Cape Coral, Pine Island, Fort Myers, Sanibel and Captiva.
Captain Keith’s first love as a child was catching redfish with his father, who mentored him as a fishing guide. Throughout school Keith would take any opportunity he could to get on the water and target tarpon, snook, redfish and trout.
Keith was an excellent guide and was very knowledgeable about the area. We had a group of 6 out on his boat, of various levels of fishing experience, and he was able to cater to everyone’s skill levels. At the end of the trip Keith even cut up a few fish to take home for dinner! Highly recommended!

At age 18, Captain Keith purchased his first skiff and used it to target redfish every opportunity he had between college and work. Captain Keith became a law enforcement officer after college, but that did not slow down his love for fishing. He would often work 12 hour night shifts and then launch the boat as soon as he was off work to go fishing.
Eventually this led Keith to becoming a licensed captain and establishing Blue Line Fishing Charters LLC as a second job. After a few years of working both jobs, Captain Keith decided it was time to devote his career to sharing his passion for fishing with visitors and locals looking to experience the waters and fisheries of Cape Coral Florida.

Captain Keith is now a full-time guide who charters out of Southwest Florida year-round. He appreciates watching his clients fall in love with our local waters and fisheries as they create unforgettable memories. He enjoys sharing his knowledge of the local fisheries with experienced anglers, but he especially loves igniting a passion for fishing and love of his beautiful Cape Coral waters with new clients and first-time anglers.
Captain Keith is passionate about helping his clients create cherished memories, giving them a new appreciation for Southwest Florida, inspiring their love of fishing, and feels honored to share those moments with them. Captain Keith is also ardent about conserving this amazing fishery and the fish within it for future generations to enjoy.
